Wherever you go, there you are. Accepting the present moment as it is.
Well, guess what? Okay, I’m sure you can “guess what”. It has been a challenge, as most transitions are. I expected to have new material for my “Yoga in the Workplace” workshops by the end of the first week. And yet each day, I feel a little farther away from that. And I am more than a bit disconnected. And I am having trouble recognizing my true self during conference calls. I find myself slipping into old habits I had forgotten I even had.
So, this blog finds me feeling a little stressed and muddled. And frustrated that I do not have knowledge and enlightenment to share about how to call upon your Yogic strengths to succeed at the office, and to be able to share those in my blog. And so I must accept that this is where I am.
Something wonderful about going back to work is that you get vacations. And so I went on vacation last week to peaceful and beautiful Akumal, Mexico. My biggest decisions were choosing between snorkeling in the lagoon or off the beach, and whether to read in the hammock or the lounger. I thought I might see things more clearly there. But as of yet, the way has not become clear. My mind, body and spirit are rested and rejuvenated, but I have no wisdom to share. When I told my dear friend and teacher, who was with me on vacation about my frustrations, she said “Well, that’s where you are right now, so that’s what you write about”.
And so I did.
