Dr. Sarah Griesemer is a licensed psychologist and certified hatha yoga teacher with a passion for helping individuals experience healing, growth, and self-compassion. She works with children and adults to help them overcome problems with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship conflicts, AD/HD, abuse and more. Dr. Griesemer began integrating mindfulness meditation into her therapy work after being influenced by teachers such as Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. After her personal yoga practice drew her to more in depth study through a hatha teacher training, she began to integrate pranayama, mantra and asana into her work with clients as well and discovered the power of yoga in combination with psychotherapy.
Dr. Griesemer is currently collaborating to create a study focused on the efficacy of using yoga in combination with psychotherapy to treat depression (http://yogapsychotherapyresearch.com/).
