During the holiday season, we often begin to consider ways to give back to those in need whether in our communities or around the globe. “Seva” is a Sanskrit word meaning “selfless service” or action/words to help another without any thought of reward or repayment. In India, it is believed to help one's spiritual growth and also contribute to the improvement of a community. Seva is a positive characteristic to cultivate and goes much beyond actual service. It is an attitude. When we interact in a spirit of seva , we think about what we can give in any situation rather than what we can gain from it. Read more

Dec. 21-28: 3 or 4 Day Kids Yoga Camps Winter break camps with Amy Pancake at Eastside Yoga Ages 3-7 (must be potty trained) Yoga camp is structured much like a preschool morning, except... yoga is the central activity! We breathe, stretch, balance, go upside down, slither, prowl, roll, make dragon faces, lion faces, and prune faces, and (of course) we relax. After all that, we’re usually ready for snack, a story, and some homemade play dough time. Later we might have a dance party or make an obstacle course...all before lunch! Lunch together is always a hoot, and when we’re finished eating, we play, read, or dance.
